Meet Brandon McClure

Brandon McClure was born and raised in Walterboro, South Carolina, moving to St. George at the age of 15. There he attended and graduated from the private school, Dorchester Academy, a kindergarten through grade 12 private school where he now serves on the board as vice chair and athletic director.

Dorchester Academy is where Brandon met his wife, Callie McClure—the two were high school sweethearts. After a brief hiatus, they married in 2009. Brandon served five years in the Army in special ops after graduation, stationed outside of Seattle at what was then Fort Lewis military base, now joint base Lewis-McChord, as part of the 2nd Ranger Battalion of the 75th Ranger Regiment.

Throughout his life, Brandon watched his father, Robbie McClure, helping families all around the surrounding area with insurance and other financial needs. He always knew that helping people like his father did was exactly what he wanted to do as a career.

After leaving the Army, he shadowed his father for a couple of months before joining Transamerica for a year, followed by a year and a half spent at Farm Bureau Financial Services. During that time, he became licensed and well-versed in helping people with life insurance, annuities, property & casualty insurance and health insurance.

Brandon joined McClure & Associates in 2015, spearheading the St. George office along with Callie, who had joined the family firm a few months prior. The office stays busy, but the most hectic time is during Medicare Open Enrollment, which starts October 1st and usually gets extended to around December 31st. This is the third year Brandon has been helping people with Medicare supplemental and Medicare Advantage plans in partnership with Hibbits Insurance, and Brandon enjoys being able to provide an even broader range of services to their retirement clients by adding health insurance to the mix.

Brandon and Callie got married at St. George United Methodist Church, where they are members and have deep family roots—Brandon’s grandfather and great-grandmother both attended services there regularly throughout their lives. McClure & Associates’ St. George office is located right across the street from the church.

Brandon enjoys an occasional round of golf, likes to fish, go four-wheeling with the girls, and sometimes does target practice on the family’s rural property. Brandon and Callie McClure are very family-oriented and truly love spending time with their children. Daughters Calder, 7, and Sullivan, 4, both attend Dorchester Academy and the whole family loves doing anything and everything outdoors, often taking trips to the river, the lake, the beach or to a family member’s backyard swimming pool.
